Carburettor piston
New carburettor piston. As the piston is sliding up and down the carburetor it wears out. The play between the carb and piston will get bigger. This can result in: Bad idling, and bad gaspedal response, sometimes in (worst cases) the engine does not return to idling speed as the gaspedal is released. and in the worst case, the engine sucks at 3/4 part load and at full throttle, false air past the piston (this does not pass the atomizer) and a very lean mixture is created, with all the consequences (overheating and possible jamming of the engine) Replace and your car will respond a lot better to the throttle! | ||
